Motorola has just announced the launch of Moto Q, which they claim is the world’s thinnest and lightest handset with a qwerty keypad. The Moto Q is expected to be available in Q1 of 2006.

Moto Q is designed to deliver a mobile office experience, like what its close rival Blackberry does. Moto Q combines quality voice, data, and multimedia in one amazing “RAZR-thin” package (13.9mm thin!!). Hence, Motorola believes Moto Q helps make mobility = productivity.

Quoted:
Q leverages Microsoft’s familiar and trusted Windows Mobile software and is among the first devices to run on the new Windows Mobile 5.0 platform which delivers scalable and cost-effective mobile messaging support with Exchange 2003 out of the box. This enables the device to work overtime to leverage existing corporate investments in infrastructure, training and support while continuing to protect office networks, data and applications.

Weekly Highlights [Aug 1, 2005 – Aug 7, 2005]

Monday 8 August 2005 @ 12:34 am

Though the 24 hours Blogathon is already over, you are still encouraged to register then donate some money. You wont be charged instantly online, instead you be contacted through email instructing you how to pay. Please note that, all donations go directly to the charities.

Besides this meaningful Blogathon campaign, let’s take a look of what I wrote for the last whole week. By the way, I was not very productive last week, maybe due to some freelance stuffs. :p

Monday
On Monday, Hewlett-Packard (HP) announced that they have decided to stop shipping HP branded iPod media players, which they started selling HP branded iPods in August 2004.

Tuesday
AMD added Athlon 64 X2 3800+ to their 64bit Dual Core desktop processor family and priced just under USD$370 (RM1,406). Besides, I showed you two Gmail notifiers, which will notify you for new Gmail messages, either from a desktop application or Firefox browser plugin.

Wednesday
I found a funny link some time ago, and decided to share with you all on last Wednesday. It is about “Microsoft Teaches You How To Uninstall Linux“. There is an article posted in the Help & Support Center of Microsoft website which teaches you how to remove Linux and install Windows XP. :D On the same day, Apple released their newly designed Mighty Mouse, which has several new innovative features that make using a Mac even more powerful and easy.

Thursday
Last week, we have heard so many bloggers been banned by Google from using AdSense. Fortunately, Yahoo came at the right time to announce Yahoo ad network for small Web publishers intended to compete against rival Google in text based ad. Hopefully, this service will provide an alternative to those been banned. I also revealed the fact that actually Mozilla Firefox suffered more attacks than Internet Explorer in the year 2005, according to Secunia.

Friday
Fujitsu is selling its AMD Turion based LaptopS2000 Series, on their website within only 1 month AMD claimed that Fujitsu-Siemens was hiding its AMD computers on its website and removing all references to commercial AMD-powered products in the company’s retail catalog.

Saturday
Well, the IT world is evolving in a very rapid speed, this is no doubt. This fact is pr oven when an Austrian hacker wrote what are thought to be the first known viruses for Microsoft’s Windows Vista operating system (OS), after only 8 days the beta version of the OS was released !! Anyway, though the evolution is so rapid, there are still some nice bloggers in this world, who were writing articles in a rapid pace too, 30 minutes an article non stop for 24 hours, for the Blogathon Campaign. It’s still not too late to pledge, just register, then you can donate.

Sunday
One week ago, I revealed a trick on how to bypass the Windows® Genuine Advantage validation process, yesterday, I revealed another one. >:)

Another Trick To By Pass Windows® Genuine Advantage

Sunday 7 August 2005 @ 2:52 am

Oh, I’m so bad >:) , keep on revealing how to bypass the Windows® Genuine Advantage validation process. Last Friday, I’ve shown you a little trick using JavaScript to crack the process, however, I heard from some of my net friends, this trick no longer workable.

Anyway, today here is another one. :D

Just follow the following steps from SinHack, you should be able to update your pirated somehow-can’t-get-validated Windows.

First, I have photoshopped one of my birthday photo taken in Genting, before I got back my digital camera from my brother.

First Virus For Windows Vista

Saturday 6 August 2005 @ 1:16 pm

An Austrian hacker, who named “Second Part To Hell“, become the first virus writer by writing what are thought to be the first known viruses for Microsoft’s Windows Vista operating system (OS), according to Mikko Hypponen, chief research officer at F-Secure.

Quoted:
The viruses take advantage of a new command shell, codenamed Monad, that was included in the Windows Vista beta code. They were published on a virus-writing tutorial written for an underground hacker group calling itself the Ready Ranger Liberation Front, and take advantage of security vulnerabilities in the new command shell.

This command shell would be similar to what Linux OS is using, allows users to use powerful text-based commands, it is much like Windows’ predecessor, DOS too. The command shell is so powerful and allows users to make as huge and complex scripts as users do in Linux’s BASH (Bourne Again Shell).

Fujitsu AMD Turion Laptop S2000 Series

Friday 5 August 2005 @ 4:11 pm

Fujitsu S2000
3 weeks ago, I posted regarding Fujitsu-Siemens is taking orders for their desktop models Esprimo E small form-factor PC and Esprimo P tower models with AMD processors, after just 2 weeks AMD filing suit against Intel. In fact, before this lawsuit been filed, AMD claimed that Fujitsu-Siemens was hiding its AMD computers on its website and removing all references to commercial AMD-powered products in the company’s retail catalog because Intel offered Fujitsu-Siemens a ‘special discount‘ on Celeron processors.

So, as we can see, Fujitsu-Siemens started taking order for desktop PC models and now Fujitsu started selling AMD Turionâ„¢ 64 based laptop on their website within only 1 month. :)

The Fujitsu LifeBook S2000 series features AMD Turionâ„¢ 64 mobile technology, which supports both 32-bit and 64-bit applications. With its 64-bit Turionâ„¢ processors, MT-28, S2000 runs at 1.6GHz with 512KB L2 cache. It has 512MB ( 2 x 256MB ) DDR333 memory too.
