I blogged about iDog almost 1 year ago, now you see another “i” pet in the market. Segatoys introduced the iFish after seeing the success of the iDog.
Almost identical to iDog in term of features, you can play music or sounds through iFish’s built-in speaker as well. It flashes some light while flopping around. By the way, please take note that you can’t put it into water though it’s a fish.
Can’t afford Sony Aibo? Get yourself an iDog or iFish. :)

I stopped blogging for 1 week or so but Google just can’t stop releasing new services. Here is another great one.
Google launched its latest service yesterday called Google Finance. It’s an online financial news portal that provides corporate news, information and graphs, and blog entries regarding the specific stock you are looking for. I believe this new Google service is going into direct competition withYahoo Finance, which I patrol quite frequently for stock information. The reason behind launching this cool service is the increase in Internet usage by investors in searching for stock information.

Google Finance – Personal Online Finance Website
This robotic mule as shown in the picture is developed by Boston Dynamics for military purposes. BigDog is the latest alpha robotic to be added into Boston Dynamics family of robots. Boston Dynamics is also supported by Foster Miller, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and the Harvard University Concord Field Station. They named this robotic beast BigDog, the most advanced quadruped robot on earth !
BigDog is powered by a gasoline engine that drives a hydraulic actuation system. In other words, it’s very sturdy as it can withstand a kick to the body without falling over. BigDog can walk, run and climb on rough terrain and carry heavy loads. Technically speaking, BigDog is able to trot at 3.3 mph (5.35 km/h), climbed a 35 degree slope and carried a 120 lb (54.4 kg) load.
It’s specification is as follows :-
- Long : 1 meter
- Height : 0.7 meters tall
- Weight : 75 kg

Big Dog – The Robotic Mule
Well, usually we use major search engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN or Ask Jeeves to search whatever we need on the Internet. What if we are looking for something special and can’t manage to find via these search engines?
I came across at least 3 search engines which respectively target different niche search items, one is specialized as Photo Search Engine, another is Programming Code Search Engine and another is Mobile Content Search Engine by Nokia.
Let me start with the first one of a kind search engine, Riya – The Next Generation Photo Search Engine. Well, of course I know Google has its images search feature as well but Riya uses proprietary face and text recognition which can intelligently recognize each and every instance of that person or place in the photo.
Quoted:
Riya’s bag of tricks is pretty big–besides looking at facial features, it also examines people’s clothing to help recognize individuals in multiple pictures. It does subtle analysis of the timestamps on photos to help it make further intelligent guesses about who’s who. And it also does optical recognition of signs and other text in pictures (if you’re wearing a nametag, it may be able to read it).
Wanna try it out now? Take a tour at Riya’s website now.

Tips To Search Special Search Items
Oppss… Another Google related news, can’t help it.
Google Store is not a new site operated by Google because I have seen it back in 2004. Google Store (googlestore.com) used to be located at google-store.com and the homepage with a map of the world is a new addition to the website.
Where is the U.K.?
Something bizarre is that the map on the homepage doesn’t not show some countries including the advanced U.K., Madagascar, Iceland, Greenland, Cuba, etc. Even the victim of tsunami, Sri Lanka, also missing from the map. The map designer might need to take a geographic class and remedy it. :p
Anyway, some Google related products are available in Google Store including accessories, fun stuffs, kids wear, office accessories, wearables, software and even server hardware. Only software is free in Google Store and those software can be downloaded from Google Pack as well.

Google Store – Buy Google Related Products
As the title suggests, this is yet another Google related post. I think Netizen like me just can’t stay on the Internet without Google.
Well, Google has just launched another (yup, again!) free online service called Google Page. Google Page allows you to easily create webpages in just minutes. I believe it will be very helpful to non-techie website owner because it requires no technical knowledge at all.
Too bad I didn’t register myself to Google Page last night when I knew about it, now Google will take your email address and notify you when the service is open again. Anyway, the following are some features of Google Page :-
- Edit webpages and see the result instantly (what you you see is what you’ll get)
- Edit from within your web browser (no other software is required)
- You end product will go live on own site provided by Google (at http://yourgmailusername.googlepages.com)
Doesn’t this cool service look interesting? Certainly it is!
