Just within a week Google added new Voice & Video chat feature in Gmail, today you’ll see a new Google Voice Search feature for iPhone. However, this is the first time I see Google is catching with Microsoft (Tellme Service) and Yahoo (oneSearch with Voice) in Voice Searching for mobile phones.

GMail Now With Voice And Video Chat!

Thursday 13 November 2008 @ 12:17 am

The speed of Google rolling out a new product or a new version of existing product is just unimaginable. They really put up a lot of effort by keeping their promise to “Release Early, Release Often” in application development.

Yes, as the title of this post says, GMail now allows you to make phone calls over the Internet or to speak in person via video directly from your Gmail account! All you need is a computer, a broadband internet connection, a GMail account and, for video calls, a web camera.

Gmail Voice & Video Chat

This new feature is not enabled by default and you need to install Gmail voice and video
chat plugin developed by Google, which also means it’s not a 3rd party plugin. Just follow the following steps to activate this awesome feature and start using it :-

In case you still have not noticed, Google had entered the web browser market by releasing their first ever web browser, Google Chrome, yesterday.

I’m always excited whenever Google launches any software, therefore I’ve installed Google Chrome immediately after reading this fascinating news yesterday even though the software is still under Beta version.

Gmail Promised To Give More Space

Monday 15 October 2007 @ 1:04 pm

GmailMy personal Gmail account was running out of space before I did a massive clean up couple weeks ago, by deleting all emails with large attachments.

Well, now I’m expecting such problem will not occur again after this official news from Gmail blog. At the moment, Gmail storage is ever increasing as part of their “Infinity+1” storage plan. Now Gmail is going to speed up the counter and giving out more free storage as time passes by. In other words, it simply means you’ll be rewarded with more and more storage space in every second, every minute and everyday!

Hopefully, your Gmail account will not run out of space unless your rate of using the email storage is faster than the rate of Gmail increase their storage space. :D

Happy 9th Birthday, Google!

Friday 28 September 2007 @ 11:56 am

I am a few hours late to wish Google their 9th birthday. In fact, I saw the change of their search logo in the midnight yesterday.

Google 9th Birthday

2 years ago, I wished them Happy Birthday on September 9th 2005, which was 2 days late from their actual birth date on September 7th that time of year.

Somehow this year the celebration of Google birthday is delayed until the end of September. So, now I am confused which date is their actual birthday.

The exact date when we celebrate our birthday has moved around over the years, depending on when people feel like having cake.

Anyhow, Happy Birthday Google!!

The Google Master Plan

Monday 23 April 2007 @ 1:45 pm

I’ve come across this interesting movie clip called The Google Master Plan in Youtube quite some time ago. It’s a movie directed and produced by Ozan Halici & Jürgen Mayer for their Bachelors’s Thesis at the University of Applied Sciences Ulm, Germany.

The movie basically talks about how Google can use their free services like Google Search and Gmail with their gigantic database for some known, and possibly unknown, purposes. Well, it talks about our privacy as users of Google free services as well. Needless to say, it got me ponder how powerful Google is nowadays.

I’m sure you don’t want to miss this awesome video clip :-

Check out their The Google Master Plan website. There are some different video formats of the movie ready for download too.
