Fujitsu S2000
3 weeks ago, I posted regarding Fujitsu-Siemens is taking orders for their desktop models Esprimo E small form-factor PC and Esprimo P tower models with AMD processors, after just 2 weeks AMD filing suit against Intel. In fact, before this lawsuit been filed, AMD claimed that Fujitsu-Siemens was hiding its AMD computers on its website and removing all references to commercial AMD-powered products in the company’s retail catalog because Intel offered Fujitsu-Siemens a ‘special discount‘ on Celeron processors.

So, as we can see, Fujitsu-Siemens started taking order for desktop PC models and now Fujitsu started selling AMD Turionâ„¢ 64 based laptop on their website within only 1 month. :)

The Fujitsu LifeBook S2000 series features AMD Turionâ„¢ 64 mobile technology, which supports both 32-bit and 64-bit applications. With its 64-bit Turionâ„¢ processors, MT-28, S2000 runs at 1.6GHz with 512KB L2 cache. It has 512MB ( 2 x 256MB ) DDR333 memory too.

Quoted:
Powered by the innovative AMD Turion™ 64 Mobile Technology, the all new LifeBook® S2110 notebook is uniquely optimized to deliver leading-edge performance in an ultra-portable form factor with longer battery life, exceptional wireless capability, rich graphics and enhanced security—today and tomorrow.

Fujitsu LifeBook S2000 series is targeting ultra-portable market, thus, it weights around 4 lbs with an amazing 13.3″ Crystal View XGA display and DVD/CD-RW combo drive. Besides, it is integrated with Atheros Super AG® Wireless LAN chipset to support all 802.11a/b/g wireless network.

This new LifeBook S2000 series is priced in between USD$1299-USD$1699 depends on its specification configurations.

I used to be sale assistant of Fujitsu laptops in one of the KLCC laptop shops, and I can tell you, every penny you spent on Fujitsu worth it !!

If I’m not mistaken Fujitsu laptops are not locally assembled, and its stability and design is top notch.

As for the support sign, my brother is holding my DC at the moment woh. When will be the blogathon end ah?

If I can afford, sure I’ll go with Fujitsu laptops. Price is no doubt a factor of buying, but to me, some other things should be under consideration too. :)

I used to stay in KL for about 3 years when I was pursuing my Diploma. Besides the laptop shop, I used to work as programmer in KLCC tower 2 too. Really nice view over there. Hehhehe…
