Online backup has gained its popularity and is becoming one of the emerging online services in recent years. There are plenty of online backup services available on the Internet and many of them are different in terms of features and pricing. Some are offering unlimited online storage space while others are offering a more attractive pricing.

An online backup review site at wpdesigner.com put up a chart listing some of the selected online backup services based on the credibility and the reputation of the companies. All important features of each online backup service are listed for reference such as the price, server security, trial period, money back guarantee, control panel, customer support and so on. This chart is definitely useful for people who are looking for an online backup service but don’t know where to search for them.

Nokia Drive (Turn-by-turn Voice Guided GPS Navigation App For Windows Phone 7.5) – Sneak Preview

This post has been viewed 20259 times since Friday 9 December 2011 @ 5:02 pm

Nokia Maps, formerly known as Ovi Maps, is always my favorite turn-by-turn voice guided GPS navigation application on a mobile phone. I’ve been using it on Nokia N97, N900 & N8 and it served me well in many countries that I’ve been throughout the years. Nokia decided to split Nokia Maps into 2 separate apps in MeeGo and Windows Phone platform. Therefore, we now have 2 map navigation apps in Nokia N9 and all Nokia Lumia Windows Phones :-

  • Nokia Maps (full featured maps navigation with local POI, pin destination, etc.)
  • Nokia Drive (turn-by-turn navigation with voice guidance, optimized for driving)

Well, two is always better than one.

So far Nokia Maps and Nokia Drive are free and exclusive for Nokia devices only but soon it will be available as paid apps for other phones running Windows Phones 7.5. I’ve been longing to run these 2 apps on my phones of other brands and the hope finally came true when I managed to run it on my LG Windows Phone.

I’ll only cover Nokia Drive in this post and perhaps if I have time I’ll write about Nokia Maps as well in another upcoming post.

Nokia Drive supports both portrait and landscape modes. The user interface is optimized with bigger font and buttons for the use while driving. Nokia Drive includes 2D and 3D maps across 95 countries and maps can be easily downloaded via WiFi or data network and stored on the device. Navigation voice of different languages can be installed as well.

Data Recovery To The Rescue

This post has been viewed 39001 times since Friday 28 October 2011 @ 9:11 pm

Just recently a friend of mine dropped her portable hard disk drive (HDD) from her desk onto the floor and the portable hard disk drive is not working anymore. She called me for help as she was so worried of losing all the photos and videos of her little baby in the hard disk drive. The data is so valuable to her as the baby is her first child and she wants to keep a record of her baby’s growing up journey in all stages.

The biggest problem for her is that she didn’t make any backup copy of the photos and videos, therefore a reliable Data Recovery service would be her best choice to retrieve all the data from the damaged hard disk drive.

She can’t just open the hard disk herself because a hard disk drive can only be opened in a “clean room” with special equipments to avoid causing further damage to the hard disk platter that is containing the data. Even a very tiny particle like dust or a scratch on the hard disk platter would ruin the chance of getting back the data.

Now all she needs is a professional data recovery company that offers transparent pricing, high success rate of recovery and equipped with industry leading data recovery facilities. Hope she can get all the photos and videos back at the lowest possible cost.
