Received an email from the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) at noon today and I thought I should blog about it immediately before the habit of procrastinating in blogging hits me again. When it comes to spreading love to the world, I should not procrastinate at all!

This 20^th June is World Refugee Day and in conjunction with it, UNHCR Malaysia wish to encourage people to understand more about refugees in our country. Refugees are different from migrants, refugees do not choose to leave their country, they do not have a choice but to do so because of difficult living conditions in their home land. We currently have over 39,000 refugees and asylum seekers in Malaysia.

A 90-second video clip named “Hands of Hope” was produced in Malaysia pro bono for UNHCR by the advertising agency EURO RSCG KL. Check it out :-

Honestly, this awesomely produced video is indeed very touching and it tells how difficult a refugee’s life can be. Kudos to the production team!
