Early this month, Motorola launched the world’s first iTunes phone, Motorola RORK. This week, Nokia announced its music phone, Nokia 3250.

Nokia 3250 is not an iTunes phone, but it is a Series 60 Symbian smartphone which designed for music lovers. It has a rotatable bottom section with a 2-megapixel camera attached. You can do a 270-degree rotation (-90 and +180 degrees) to switch the functionality from mobile phone, camera and music player. With just a twist, it becomes a mp3 music player that is able to play up to 750 songs, with an expandable microSD memory up to 1GB. However, there will be only 10 MB internal memory plus 128 MB microSD card come along with the phone.
Have a glance on its main features :-
- Innovative twist-on design
- Built-in music player, and dedicated music keys
- Memory expandable up to 1 GB
- 2 megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom
- 262K color display
- Mobile Blogging !!
One additional feature that attracted me is the mobile blogging feature. I searched high and low in Nokia website, even in the Glossary page, to look for extra information about the feature but to no avail. However, from the feature page it mentions that by using this feature, user is able to upload contents to the blog or just attach the contents to your email or MMS. Nice one !!
Want to see this new Nokia phone in action? Let’s have a look of the video, using QuickTime or Windows Media Player.

Looks awesome. Though I’m just worried on Nokia’s normal ‘awesome’ price on it later.
The phone will hit the shelves in coming weeks. We will see the awesome price then. I expect it not less than RM2200.
looks neat indeed. but i’d have mistaken it for a sony ericsson if u hadnt mentioned that it’s a nokia.
It kinda looks like P900 with the keypad opened, huh.
It looks exactly like my Nokia 3230 except that rotating bottom half. I regret having bought this N3230, the phone is heavy and the keypad is too small and located too way down at the lower part of the phone, very difficult to operate with one hand. The sound/music sucks.
There is no compare to Sony Ericsson’s K750i (not to mention W800i). K750i has much better graphics, much louder and nicer sounds, easier nagivation, 2 mega pixel camera… although slightly more expensive at RM1500.
Sony Ericsson and Samsung has improved a lot the last year. Although I am a Nokia lover, this time I regret.
HmMMm…
Seems like Nokia’s competitors is gaining some “heart share” in music industry instead of market share, huh?
Well, one thing I love the most about Nokia’s phone is its award winning user interface. It’s so user friendly.
