Another week has passed. Sigh … Last week was a busy one, and yet another low productivity week in blogging. Anyway, if you come over to my blog and find nothing new, don’t forget there is a new service which provides you latest news from various sources. If you would like to read more news from other sources, do let me now by sending a request to me at , I’ll definitely consider it.
Ok, let’s take a look of what have I written last week.
Monday
I read about a stunning news last Monday that Intel Pentium D is actually using two Pentium 4 core on the same package !! Which means old technology is used on a “new” product. Then there was a security alert to developers of big companies, such as Google, MSN, that uses toolkit is called CPAINT, which is used to create applications using AJAX (an approach to writing web application).
Tuesday
I posted a review of the next version of Windows, Windows Vista, from CoolTechZone.com. It’s not a very thorough review but at least we have more insight about Windows Vista now.
Wednesday
Microsoft released its new MSN Messenger, MSN Messenger 7.5, to stay in competition after Yahoo launched their latest Instant Messenger (IM), Yahoo IM 7.0. In less than 24 hours after I talked about MSN Messenger 7.5, Google launched its own Instant Messenger as well, Google Talk Beta !!
Thursday
Last Thursday was a happy day as Penny made me a nice fan sign. However, she requested me to return her with a special fan sign. :p
Friday
I attended the Penang bloggers gathering on 21 Aug, 2005, but I only posted about it on 26 Aug, 2005. Anyway, it was my first bloggers gathering and I felt happy meeting they all that day. :) Then I posted a news saying Microsoft is planning to release an anti-phishing filter for Internet Explorer 6.0 (previously planned to be integrated in the forthcoming IE7) and MSN Toolbar.
Saturday
I posted a Google Quiz, which tests your knowledge on using the famous search engine, Google Search. Try it out and see do you really know some extra features of the search engine.
Sunday
I create a blue theme for the new Google Talk. So, if you are bored with its original grey colour interface, feel free to download it, and share it with your friends as well. :)
I suppose you have already heard of the beta version of Google Talk launched last week. It is in fact quite flexible to get customized with its interface. I have create a blue theme for it, if you like it, feel free to download it. :)

The following are some simple steps to change the original grey theme.
- Download my Google Talk Blue Theme now here. (I have zipped it)
Downloaded times
- Open your windows explorer, look for C:\Program Files\Google\Google Talk folder.
- Rename your original googletalk.exe to something else (e.g. bryantalks.exe), just in case my file doesn’t work, you can still rename back to the original name.
- Put my googletalk.exe into the folder.
- Double click and run it.
Hope you like it. :)
By the way, if you would like to format the text as shown in the above picture, you can do the following :-
- Put _ in between your words to italic it.
_SapiensBryan_ will become SapiensBryan - Put * in between your words to bold it.
*SapiensBryan* will become SapiensBryan
Enjoy using Google Talk, everyone. :)

Don’t worry, I can assure you there is NO virus or Spyware contained in the file I created.
I use Google search almost everyday, what about you? If you do the same, come take a Google Quiz and see how familiar you are to Google service.
After taking the test, and you would like to learn more, do visit Google Help. :)
Microsoft is planning to release an anti-phishing filter for Internet Explorer 6.0 (IE6) (the version we are using in WinXP). This new feature will further enhance the web browser and make it a more secure one. Microsoft Phishing Filter is suppose to be integrated to the forthcoming IE7, which will be due next year, but now it will be released ahead of originally planned schedule.
Quoted:
The Microsoft Phishing Filter will not only help provide consumers with a dynamic system of warning and protection against potential phishing attacks, but — more important — it will also benefit legitimate ISPs and Web commerce site developers that want to try to ensure that their brands are not being “spoofed†to propagate scams and that their legitimate outreach to customers is not confusing or misinterpreted by filtering software.
Last Sunday, 21 August, 2005, I was the last to attend the Penang bloggers gathering, now I am again the last to post about the gathering. :”> Sorry guys for sharing the experience late, I was really a bit busy throughout the whole week.
It was my 1st bloggers gathering as I’ve only been blogging since 4 months ago. Thank RealityReallyBites for taking the initiative to hold this gathering. I am so glad to meet all of them, including Peter, Frostier, RealityReallyBites, KS Tang, Lilian, her toddler, n305er, kenny, Lucia, Jeremy, Yvy, Ong, Witty, Cmos and Kiasi. I even got to know Frostier and me were actually in the same batch in our Diploma.
Anyway, some bloggers who attended the gathering have already posted their own write-ups regarding this gathering, some with pictures too.
Here is the list of the write-ups I have read:-
Since almost everyone put up some pictures, I decided to show some undisclosed scenes captured during the gathering.
I was late, so i took a snap shot of everybody including myself while I was waiting for my Caramel Frappuccino® Blended Coffee.

Everyone is in the picture.
