This morning, I was browsing through some sales of computer peripherals at Amazon and was a little shock to see such huge capacity USB flash drive is on sale!
Corsair Flash Voyager is the latest product manufactured by Corsair and it’s the largest capacity USB 2.0 flash drive to date with a massive 32GB of storage. While Moore’s law is suggesting memory capacity would double its size approximately every 2 years, I think this 32GB flash drive is a bit beyond the projection, don’t you think so?
Anyway, obviously this USB flash drive is not a prototype but an end product selling on the shelves in many online computer stores right now, below are some sales I found :-
Corsair is well known of its high quality and performance computer main memory (RAM), therefore they are confident with Corsair Flash Voyager by offering a 10 years limited warranty. Even though the durable rubber casing doesn’t make it one stylish flash drive, I suppose the capacity, reliability and its warranty are enough win our hearts.
Anyway, with such a huge capacity, you can practically store the entire Windows Vista operating system, all application programs, and a couples of DVD into it! Moving huge files from one PC to another PC outside a network and harddisk backup would never been easier using it too.

Actually, 32GB isn’t the largest flash drive. Kanguru Solutions has a 64GB USB Flash Drive available. It is currently available at Ecost (www.ecost.com) for $495.00. (If that is too expensive, they also have a 16GB Kanguru model available for $49.99.)

If every 2 years means give this 32GB another 2 years then I’ll dump my external HDD and get one of that, at least it still working even if I drop it :P

Emmett: Thanks for pointing out there is 64GB Flash Drive available for sale too. However, I think the price $495, which is more than twice the price we can get 2 x 32GB, would be a decisive buying factor.
wong: And Flash Drive has better shock resistance too! :D

Excellent! A Blueray disk has 50Gb, but you can’t plug it everywhere ;)
