Hi Everyone,

Feel so sorry to announce I’ll be away for 3 days from today, June 24, 2005, onwards.
Feel sorry for couldn’t attend to PPS Bash held yesterday, June 23, 2005 evening due to my trip to KL later on.

Ok guys, I’ll be going to KL later at 7:30am by bus to meet some good friends and old colleagues in KL in the following days.

Planned to hang out at Kinokuniya (my favourite hang out place when I was working in KLCC) once I finish my lunch after reaching KL around 12pm. Probably I’ll be in the big book store from 1pm until 6pm, before I go for my dinner. I’ll be sitting there reading books with my Nike backpack beside me, maybe I’ll be wearing black t-shirt with a pair of jeans. After my dinner (have not decided where to eat yet), I’ll be at KLCC Starbucks to enjoy my favourite cream-based Caramel Frappuccino until around 11pm before my friend comed and pick me up. If you happen to see me, come over to say hello and I’ll treat you a cup of latte at Starbuck, because today is my birthday !! :D Yes, June 24 is my birthday !!

Saturday morning, I’ll be going to Genting with 5 of my best friends and will spend a night there. Hopefully, no rain or anything to stop me from enjoying the cool atmosphere there. :)

Probably will be back to Penang and continue blogging on Monday. So, stay tuned guys. Sorry for no breaking IT news from me for the next 3 days.

Can’t imagine my life without Internet for the next 3 days. :-?

I’ve been using the default Kubrick theme (with some modifications :D ) since day 1. So, I think it’s time for me to change a new blog layout.

I chosen this theme because of a few reasons:-

• It is neat and nice.
• It has dymanic width.
  Everyone might have different screen resolutions, so a dynamic one suits all.
• I like it. :)

Don’t worry, I’ll stick with this theme as long as I can.

Friday, May 27, 2005, recorded the highest number of visitor a day in this month : 668 visitors in a day !!

Though this is just a 2 months old blog, the rapidly increasing number of visitor is surely the driving force that motivates me to do better in the following months.

Perhaps my aim to reach another milestone, 1000 visitors a day, by August is not very far away.

Anyway, thank you for your support. :)

After almost a month using 3 columns blog layout, I decided to switch back to 2 columns. As Danny said, reader might be overwhelmed with all the contents at the top there. So, for the sake of everyone’s eyes, this blog is back to 2 columns.

Transformation of this blog:-

2 columns > 3 columns > 2 columns

Hope you all like the current layout.

There is a security vulnerability in WordPress that may be triggered if you’re running the default template.

If you would like to apply the fix manually it is relatively simple:

1. Open the wp-includes/template-functions-category.php file in a text editor like Wordpad.
2. Go to around line 103 where it says get_the_category_by_ID.
3. Create a new line after that and paste in $cat_ID = (int) $cat_ID;

You can upgrade by overwriting only one of your old WordPress 1.5 files. I’ve added the above codes into my template-functions-category.php. Feel free to download it and use it in your WordPress 1.5.

I have just changed the blog layout into 3 columns from the default 2 columns. I felt this is the time to expand in order to cater for the seemingly rapid growth of my blog. :D

Some changes in the newly designed layout are as follows:-

• 1. One more column on the left.
• 2. New header picture, which is more suitable to the title of the blog.
• 3. New background, some say the old background was dull. So… :)
• 4. New navigation bar design.

I did not change the space of the content in the middle, simply because the content is the soul of this blog. I can sacrifice the space on both sidebars, but not the content area. Of course there was a compromise on the gaps in between all columns, when I took out those wasted spaces and formed the 3rd column on the left. This attempt of redesigning will avoid the situation when the old sidebar becomes too long if I decided to add in more contents in the sidebar sooner or later.

By the way, I will be glad to make it a template if anyone of you request for it. Probably, I will have free time to do it end of this month, after my semester exam. I need some time to clean up my codes, as this is just a beta version of my new design. :)

In the future, I will put in some videos for viewing online and downloading too. Stay tuned !!
