Google Pagerank Update On New Year’s Eve!

This is the first post in the year 2009, so it better be good right?
Well, it’s indeed a good one for me, at least. :p

Some of you probably have noticed there was a Google Pagerank update happened on New Year’s eve.
Even the famous Google guy, Matt Cutts confirmed that on his twitter. Haha.

2 of my websites gained, the rest stay the same.
I’m happy for the 2 because one of them is a new project that perhaps will pull in some extra income.
New year must have new resolutions and new targets. So, I take this update as a good start for this year.

my blog finally got a page rank of 1. when is the next update please? my other two blogs are still showing grey. what do I need to do to increase page rank?

Congrats ! for you rise in PR.

However, I have not noticed any changes for my sites. May be it is not yet propogated in India yet.

Did anybody notice PR chages in India, If so do let me know.

The next update probably will come in March or April if the usual trend applies. Showing grey meaning it has no PR yet but don’t worry as Google might have already indexed it. Type site:yourdomain.com in Google and you’ll see which page of your website was already indexed by Google.

Quality (high PR) incoming links to you website is an essential factor to increasing PR.

I wonder if Google also penalised us based on whom we host with? I notice some ‘femes’ bloggers all kena PR3/10 only eventhough I am very sure they should get at least PR4/10. Sort of like bad neighbourhood? This could also be the reason why my blogs on Bluehost keep jatuh-ing PR every time got update eventhough I don’t do anything ‘bad’ on it.

However, all my main blogs still PR4/10 and PR3/10 so must host with right webhost hor?

Autoacid : The soonest will be in February, I suppose. There are some other projects on going this month.

lilian : Bad website neighbourhood could be the cause a server IP get blacklisted or banned. Having a clean IP is always good for our websites. :)

The final quarterly PageRank update for 2008 is here, and (for me, at least) it’s been extremely friendly. I no longer have a client or a site with a PageRank of less than 4, and I’ve helped several sites up to 5 or 6. Google has updated their Google Toolbar Pagerank as of about 1 hour ago, marking a New Year’s Eve PageRank update which should have a whole lot of web publishers and bloggers discussing their changes in PageRank.

nothing about new year pagerank update made me happy, it was very disapointing, hope in 2 month I get some high pr in my sites.

New Year update was kind to me, the next update needs to take care of all the other pages it missed. I have been waiting since Sept. 2009 from a 301 redirect that dropped my website and was really uncomfortable with 80% less traffic.

Now after 3 months from 31st Dec 08, Google finally update my site’s PR as on 2nd April 09.

Google updated the toolbar page rank again on 2 April 2009.This time they filtered more back links. Previously i have around 70 now i have just 10 back links left for my site cybex.in. But site rank well on all top keywords. It seems google backlinks scheme updated too. It still loves article links as i did for my site.
