WordPress 2.7.1 was released as the first minor maintenance release since Coltrane (WordPress 2.7) was introduced 2 months ago.
This new release was just made today and it consists of 68 changes, including some fixed bugs and feature enhancements.
If you are currently using WordPress 2.7, the upgrade process is so effortless.
In your blog dashboard, go to Tools > Upgrade, then click Upgrade Automatically.
You may want to do a file & database backup before upgrading to be extra safe in case the upgrading process goes wrong.
I’ve just done my upgrade and you should do yours now too.
Cheers!

i found a problem to automatically updates which is not functioning due to ‘not connected’..
at last manual updates still okay to me as i can also sit properly watch it with cup of coffee
at my hand..
That feature never works on my WordPress.
It’s either connection failure or it stops at unpacking core updates.
twenty-six & Jason : The automatically upgrade never fails on my blog and even my client’s blog. In fact, not even once. The upgrading process usually takes not more than 30 seconds to complete.
Try ask your host and see if they can come out with a solution?
Jason, connection failure or unpacking core updates failure is okay as long as it doesn’t stop upgrading half way and corrupt your blog’s database. :)
I have just finished upgrades on my blogs and everything is ok.
P.S. Since I’ve read this blog some time ago for the first time, I’ve googled to it several more times and today added it to my feed reader. =)
