Good news for all WordPress users, old and new. A brand new theme viewer was launched by WordPress yesterday. This theme viewer will definitely give you a nice browsing experience while selecting theme for your blog. Instead of going through the lengthy theme list in WordPress Codex, you are now able to browse 8-16 themes at one time. This will certainly save you some time.
Other than viewing the theme in thumbnails, you can check the demo site of a particular theme by just clicking on the PC-like icon at the right bottom corner of the thumbnail. The Download icon just sits on the left of the Demo icon while More Info icon is on the right.

New Theme Viewer From WordPress
The latest version of WordPress 1.5.2 is already released. According to the roadmap, there are a total of 10 bugfixes and enhanced features since 1.5.1.3. Bugfixes including one of the critical flaws, if PHP Directive of register_globals is turned ON.

There is a security vulnerability in WordPress that may be triggered if you’re running the default template.
If you would like to apply the fix manually it is relatively simple:
1. Open the wp-includes/template-functions-category.php file in a text editor like Wordpad.
2. Go to around line 103 where it says get_the_category_by_ID.
3. Create a new line after that and paste in $cat_ID = (int) $cat_ID;
or
You can upgrade by overwriting only one of your old WordPress 1.5 files. I’ve added the above codes into my template-functions-category.php. Feel free to download it and use it in your WordPress 1.5.

Hey guys,
There are two important upgrade if you are using Firefox and WordPress.
The latest Firefox 1.0.4 is released just few days after two critical JavaScript flaws discovered. This new version will have the patch for the flaws found.
