AdsMinded Wordpress Adsense Theme With Widgets!

This post has been viewed 45600 times since Wednesday 11 June 2008 @ 7:41 pm

It’s been so long since I last updated my AdsMinded Wordpress Theme. My Apologies.

Today, I’m rolling out the widgetized version of AdsMinded for both AdsMinded Original and AdsMinded Wide layouts. With this new version, you are now able to add advertisers’ codes into the ready-made widgets resides in sidebar, centerbar, squarebar & header. There is no need to mess with the template codes anymore! See picture below for better illustration.

AdsMinded Wordpress Theme Widgetized

You may download this widgetized version from links below :-

AdsMinded Original (Widgetized Version)

AdsMinded Wide (Widgetized Version)

Check out the introduction, features and installation of the 2 versions :-

Change Log (Latest version is in bold)

  • v2.0 (June 11, 2008)
    • Wordpress 2.5+ compatible
    • Widgetized the theme
    • Widgets are ready in sidebar, centerbar, squarebar and header.

Well, to use Widget, you’ll have to follow these steps :-

  • 1. Login to your WP blog.
  • 2. Go to Design > Widgets.
  • 3. Add any Widget you see at the left by dragging them one by one into the right column.
  • 4. Select Sidebar, Centerbar, Squarebar or Headerads widget from the dropdown list then click Show so that you can add the widget into it.
  • 5. You can try to put the AdSense code in Text widget. Text widget allows you to put html/javascript code which is the same as AdSense’s code.
  • 6. Don’t forget to Save the changes for each widget you add into Sidebar, Centerbar, Squarebar or Headerads.

Please feel free to drop me an email at My Email or send a comment here should you have any feedback.
Cheers!

First of all, thanks for choosing AdsMinded, elan & moserw.

elan : The ads will automatically appear when an individual webpage has enough keyword. The Adsense code in the dark grey area is in headerads.php, you may edit the file under Design in your WordPress.

moserw : I suppose you mean the SquareBar appears only on single page but not main page, right? Yes, it’s purposely designed like that as I don’t want to cramp too many things on the main page.

Good theme. The squarebar widget is only visible on the homepage and not on single posts, is that deliberate or some error? Would appreciate if you could reply and let me know.

I can’t figure out how to get the google ads to appear in the menu bar… the dark grey area right under the header, where the googleads with just search terms appears… like on your example picture the ads “wordpress”, “web 2.0″, etc appear.

where do I input my adsense code for this section?

    Hi Erock,

    That’s kinda weird.
I just re-download both files from the post above and tested.
There are 4 (four) widgets listed in sequence under Current Widgets, namely sidebar, centerbar, squarebar & headerads.

Which version of Widgetized AdsMinded you are having this problem with? Original or Wide version?
Anyway, try re-download the file again and re-upload it.

Kindly let me know if you still facing the same problem.
    Thanks.
