Monday 18 July 2005 @ 5:46 am

Ok, it’s summary time. Let’s see what I’ve written for the last whole week.

Monday
The first post on last Sunday was about the update of lawsuit between AMD and Intel, regarding six major distributors of the processor chips have been subpoenaed in the antitrust lawsuit. Besides, I posted a news of the preview version of the Opera browser for Windows, Linux and Mac that includes support for BitTorrent, a Peer to Peer (P2P) software.

Tuesday
There was a virus and scam taking advantage of London terrorist attacks and spreading itself through emails last week. Voice over IP provider Skype has released beta versions of toolbars for Outlook and Internet Explorer. So, now with the plugins, Outlook and IE users are able to enjoy the features that Skype offers.

Wednesday
As a fan of mobile application development, the approval of .mobi domain name was like a good news to me last week. Hopefully, next year we’ll see URL ends with .mobi been used. Another fascinating news on last Wednesday was the release of latest version of Firefox : Firefox 1.0.5. One weird thought came into my mind in the middle of the afternoon, I thought of what will be on the sign board outside the court room of AMD sued Intel lawsuit? :D

Thursday
Today, I wrote about the news of Fujitsu-Siemens has launched new PC with AMD chip, 2 weeks after AMD filing suit against Intel. Before this, Fujitsu-Siemens was suspected accepting Intel’s special offers and hiding its AMD computers on its website and removing all references to commercial AMD-powered products in the company’s retail catalog.

Friday
On Friday, I shared with you a new buzz world in networking industry, phlooding. I posted a news from Microsoft that a new version of Hotmail codenamed Kahuna is going to be launched. Besides, I shared also 206 ways of saying “Hello World” using different computer programming languages.

Saturday
One good news in the blogsphere was the announcement of IBM released two blogging tools, taking advantage of a practice of enterprise blogging which starting to be a new trend in big companies. After 3 days of the latest release of Firefox, research suggested that Firefox’s market share has increased quite significantly since May 2005. On the same day, I posted a picture with a Jesus face taken from Google Map, a service utilizes satellite images to display maps of the planet earth.

Sunday
On Sunday, I wrote a short article introducing a nicely designed keyboard : Optimus Keyboard. It is a programmable keyboard and hopefully we’ll see it n the market in 2006. Finally, the fight between AMD and Intel starts, as lawyers with the two companies will sit down in August to discuss for the first time their latest antitrust case.
