Spam Google – You’ll Find Only Rubbish

Spam Google Have you ever tried to search some information for your assignment or project using Google Search but ended up getting some spam rubbish instead? Maybe the first few search results are relevant to what you searched, but the other are just plain rubbish.

Philipp Lenssen of Google Blogoscoped felt the frustration, thus, created Spam Google, which utilises Google Search but will only give you spam results instead of what you want.

Just as Spam Google’s slogan “Just the noise.” says, you will only find advertisement spam and all sorts of crap.

I went ahead to try the search for “yahoo” to see what crap will I get. The first result was quite “relevant” as you can see it was from Yahoo! Group, but what does my search term “yahoo” have to do with “big boobs“? :-?

I think Philipp Lenssen was trying to highlight spamming is threatening not only in emails but already in some search results. Sooner or later, the search results from any search engine will be polluted more by spam sites, regardless it’s Google or Yahoo! Search. While Google is showing off their database of indexed page is larger than other search engine, I just hope they are smart enough to filter off some spam sites.

Please take note that some spam sites have irritating pop-up and uncensored materials. Be extra careful while browsing those sites, ok.
