Friday 28 April 2006 @ 2:49 am

Sex Info Via SMS
San Francisco has become the first city in the U.S. to offer safer sex advice to teenagers via SMS. With this latest service come to live, it’s no doubt the city is currently ranked just behind Seattle as the nation’s most “unwired city” in the U.S.

The text-messaging program is basically directed at young people ages 12 to 24. According to Michelle Irving, a 22-year-old peer educator with the city’s Department of Public Health, a lot of teenagers don’t go to clinics, and they’re afraid to ask questions regarding sex, such as problem with broken condoms and how to respond to pressures to have sex.

Pirated Windows Warning Message

Wednesday 26 April 2006 @ 12:27 am

I’m back with a bad news to whom using pirated copy of Windows operating system. Finally, Microsoft has decided to put up a message on the login screen for every pirated Windows user.

Windows Piracy Message

Quoted:
Hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of local PC users running pirated Windows operating systems will soon face the shame of being reminded of their illegal action every time they switch on their machines.

Face the shame? Not sure about this but I suppose the anti-piracy message will be very annoying.

This anti-piracy message will appear after the next Windows update commencing today (April 26, 2006). At the moment, only users of pirated Windows in the following five countries will experience this “new” and “special” feature, they are United States, Britain, New Zealand, Australia and Malaysia.

Well, Windows with this “special” feature can still receive software update, but not allowed to upgrade Internet Explorer to version 7 and download Windows Defender.

For more information, read the source.

Google Finance – Personal Online Finance Website

Wednesday 22 March 2006 @ 1:14 pm

I stopped blogging for 1 week or so but Google just can’t stop releasing new services. Here is another great one.

Google FinanceGoogle launched its latest service yesterday called Google Finance. It’s an online financial news portal that provides corporate news, information and graphs, and blog entries regarding the specific stock you are looking for. I believe this new Google service is going into direct competition withYahoo Finance, which I patrol quite frequently for stock information. The reason behind launching this cool service is the increase in Internet usage by investors in searching for stock information.
